what to do with a 4WD explorer sport?

I have a 99 explorer sport its 4WD but i may use it once in a blue moon when i go out partying on the beach during the summer other than that i ride with someone else on th beach. im dwfinently going to put 20's on it and i dont want to lift it but i would much rather drop it, but I was thinking why not go with airbags just wasnt sure how that would work out with it being 4WD. thanks

Hi casketboy75:

You can lower a 4x4 about 2" max before you start causing problems with the CV joints on the front axles. You can do a torsion-twist in the front and add blocks to the rear. If you want to bag it, you might want to trade for a 2WD or do a 2WD conversion. Do a search. This has come up many times before.
