What ya think, 8" idea?

2000 xls 4x4 now
So I've been doing some research and this is what I can up with.

I have 2000 Ex 2x4 and theres not much big lift options.

So for the front:

2" torsion twist

Doetsh 3" lift spindles Part#589830-2 $367.71

For the back

1" lift shackles Auto zone $20.00

Superlift 4" Leaf springs Part#01-194 $255.32

If you're 2wd, that will work just fine.

Instead of the 1" shackle and 4" leaf springs, you could do an spring over axle (SOA) to get 5.5 to start with. If you're 2wd, you could also do a 2.5 torsion twist to match the extra 0.5" in the rear.
