I have an 02 and need to replace the motor. 4.6. What year's 4.6's will work in my 02?

Thanks. I need a motor and was hoping the newer models with lower miles might work. I thought I found a good deal. 1500.00 for a used motor with 5 year warranty but the reviews were 60% negative.

You can use Grand Marquis and Crown Vic motors as well. Some difference.

just completed this swap. i broke this into two threads, first one being the initial start of the swap and this one being the finish. holy crap. there is a world of difference in difficulty level between the 4.0 and the 4.6. let me tell you that extensions are your best friend on a 4.6. use them...
