Whats the biggest i can go

I was am planing on puttin larger tires on my 94 explorer sport model. i just wanted to know what was the largest tire i could fit with out a lift. i hear 31 from some people and 30 from others. i want to give it a nice profile look for now with larger tires until i can aford a lift.

welcome to the site. id say with having a sport you can go with 31's. id have the place you buy the tires to test fit them first just to be safe.

thank you for your input on it... is there a tire place that you would recomend that i go to for the 31" tires or are they all basicly the same

are you planning on buying them online or a local dealer? id just go to a local reputable dealer (no shipping charges) and tell him what you want. he should let you test fit them. what type of tire are you looking to get?

its hard to say. some first gens (91-94) can fit 31s no problem, some cant. they all can handle 30s which is what i would go with...thats what i ran until my lift.
