The OHC V6 engine hasn't changed since 95 so the OHC engines are all the same. If I was to get another explorer I would get the SOHC V6.
The V8 is slower, and sucks more gas. Can you imagine. An explorer that sucks more gas than the one you have now!
Hey I have a explorer with a ohv and a sohc and I can really say the sohc kicks more ass . I have a friend with a tahoe with the 350 and I will keep up with him if not out run him at times.

James, me again... I think on the first 95, the 165hp version, you meant OHV. Also, I too have a 95 Sprt, and was under the impression that only 1 engine was in that year, the 165hp OHV. in 96, the 1st yr for the V8, you also had the OHC-190hp version available. Am I off-base here ? for reasons i can't get into here, i can't check the bonnet label.
please inform anyone..thnx.
