For the 4.0 V-6. I want to know what the oil pressure is suppose to be. A friends is 10 psi at idle when warm. Just trying to see how good it is. Thanks
Mine idles at 15 psi with 141,000 miles on the clock
it's a '95 OHV, although I did the gauge conversion for the oil pressure gauge to make it work like a real gauge. I did hook my mechanical one up and take measurements though.
The factory gauge is just a dummy switch that doesn't do anything untill pressure drops below 5-7psi.
Ideally 20psi of oil pressure is really good. Does the engine sound to be getting lubed properely? Does it buid pressure when you rev it up? What does it read when reved?
