What to do depends on how much you want to spend.
You can buy a catback kit that bolts on behind the catalytic converters, and will give you a louder sound, especially if it's a straight through muffler.
You could also take it to an exhaust shop and have them make a catback with a muffler and bend up some custom pipe.
The more expensive option is to replace most or all of the exhaust system. Headers, new high-flow catalytic converters, and a higher flowing muffler with all new pipe for everything.
I'd suggest just going with a straight-through muffler, either with a bolt-on catback or a custom shop job for a mostly stock motor. Magnaflow and Dynomax both make good straight through designs. Some people do like the sound of Flowmasters.
Replacing the converters and going with headers might not do a whole lot until you add other engine mods. You'll get a "meaner" sound just with a performance muffler and pipe.
