Hi Guys

I'm a new Explorer owner and I don't have the manual.

I've noticed a light coming on after about 20-30 mins driving.

On the right hand side of the dash it's a circle logo with a car inside and a diagonal line across it. It lights up orange so I'm guessing that it's not a safety issue.

Can anyone tell me what it is and what it means.

I will be looking for the drivers manual though.

Thanks

Tim

What you describe doesn't seem to be any of those.

Traction control maybe?

When you say "right side of the dash" is it in front of the driver or the passenger?

It might be a passenger airbag off warning.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the replies. I forgot to mention that I'm based in the UK and so the vehicle is RHD. The offending light is on the top right of the instrument cluster. It's definitely not like the traction control light. This is a circle with a car inside it and a diagonal line across.

I've looked at the online manual and it refers to an engine check light but mine doesn't have the words just the picture.

Could this be the lambda sensor as I had a similar issue with my X type Jag.

Thanks again guys

Tim
