So my drivers side front wheel bearing is ####ed up for sure. But the odd thing is that when it went it pushed out and caused the wheel to camber and caster all over the place like ball joints pulled out and a bad tie rod bushing.
Is this normal for the bearing to go in this situation or not?

Any help would be great. Ill get pics here in a minute.

What were you doing to cause it to give out? I just did mine inner and outter bearings on both sides today in shop class. I was off road in mud and water and Im pretty sure the water and mud washed out the grease and ruined the bearing. Mine was making a bad scratching noise while driving and when I lifted it to check the bearing the wheel had excessive camber play.

I was just driving. It at first felt like the alignment was a bit off and would randomly pull left and then it pulled all the way out. I had to turn the wheel right about 3/4 of the way to keep going strait. The ABS light came on as well.

Doesnt sound normal but if its a been a while since they were replaced maybe they were just old and didnt have much grease and just had had enough. When were they replaced last? Last time they were repacked? Repacking wont fix a worn out bearing but will help for the time being until you can replace it.

I am not sure. It was a friends truck who did everything to it. It is just my DD. I will probably replace the bearings and see what happens. Hopefully itll fix what I need it to.

Wow.. You need to change that sucker pronto! That things comming apart.. If you drive on that your wheel could come off the truck for sure. Looks like the axle nut for the cv joint may of worked it's way loose...? I would just make sure you tighten your axle nut down real tight when you swap it out.

New bearing and axle is a must. Torn boot =/

Nut it tight btw...

Not to be an a-hole, but repacking this type of bearing is not possible. It is a sealed unit.

You can't repack the bearings on a 2nd gen 4wd. You have to replace the complete hub assembly.

Please don't give information if you do not know about the vehicle in question. It only causes confusion :)

this happend to me back this summer july 3 actually. completely broke off. i was lucky it broke as i pulled up into the driveway and parked. it was a mess. simple and easy fix shouldnt take ya more than an hour to do. and its farily cheap. there was a vendor on here offering a set of two for 160 or so shipped. try when you do this(if you do) to take off the entire nuckle. its simple to do and it makes access to the back of the hub easy to get to. good luck and yes change that ASAP.

So all I need is the hub assembly? or can the bearings be replaced?

Can bearing be replaced only is more or less the second question.

The bearing you need to replace is an assembly. Hub assembly. Easy job to do. By the way, I know you can find these on flea-bay, but I would caution against this practice. Its like Forest Gump said, "You never know what your gonna get". The quality is definately sub-standard. Look for a Timken bearing. You could private message a member on this forum by the name of ericautopart, He has them at a discount for forum members.

Replacing the hub assembly WILL replace the bearing. Basically they are one in the same. The bearing resides in the hub assembly. Its a bolt on unit. SKF part # BR930252. The ABS sensor is housed inside this unit too. That's why your ABS light is on. I can't stress enough, you need to NOT DRIVE THIS TRUCK like this. You're looking for an accident. Be sure to check your axle shaft. Not a tough job, you just need a little patience, a solid jack stand, some PB Blaster may help. I've also beat on the old assembly with a hammer to get it off after its unbolted. Just be sure not to hit anything else...

Truck has been sitting since it all happened. I dont buy ebay. Thanks for the warnings tho. And thanks for the help.
