Wheel Bearings

A mechanical illterate could use a hand here. My '95 XLT has started a loud whirring noise that sounds like it's in the front right tire. I've had it checked out. It's not the U joints and the car has been aligned and tires replaced. When you turn left, it shifts the weight off of whatever is whirring and the noise stops.

My question: Is is the bearings or motor mounts? Somebody mentioned it coudl be and I'd like a little feed back.

If it the sound is the whirring sound of like large mud tires, and its noticable at low speeds, that is most likely a wheel bearing.

you sure theres not rocks stuck in the treads of your tires? happened to me, thought it was a wheel bearing til i lifted the truck to take off the tires to replace the bearings
