Wheel Bearings ???

Was checking for ball joint slop on my 92 4X4 and noticed that there is up and down play but not in the ball joints. The wheel seems to be loose. What has me scratching my head is there is no play side to side.

Someone did the front brakes before I purchased it. Any Ideas ?

They didn't tighten the spindel nut enough

If they replaced the rotor, this nut was removed. New rotors usually come with the inner race installed. It might not have been pressed in enough. If both sides are that way, they probably weren't used to doing it. Just tighten it up an as long as you don't feel anything funny when the wheel turns. Or this is a good time to repack them. Mine were loose when I bought my 92 so there must be a lot of people who don't know what they are doing.
