I just bought a 2000 mounty 2 months ago, It has 48k on the ticker and I was wondering how often do you guys change your plugs and wires? The idle seems to be fine ,acceleration is good, but I'm not one to wait for a problem. It's a 5.0!

plug change

Personally I would change them at 50,000 as well as the wires [if your wires look like the original ones]. I buy the lifetime warranty plug wires as I keep my vehicles a long time, and I keep getting free sets after that ;) .

I'm with JoeHawk, they should be changed around 50to 60k miles, and like Joe said, replace the wires also. :)

I just changed my plugs and wires today with 75k on the clock. Those "100k plugs" looked shot out. 60k should be good.

i agree i did mine at about 58k and they weren't lookin too hot
