It's in the right, rear quarter panel.

if it is not the premium or JBL, then there shouldn't be an external amp. the headunit should have an internal amp to power the speakers. i could be wrong.
if you dont see an amp behind the plastic panel in bak, then there is none.

So am I assuming correctly that if I have the JBL I have an amp?

yes on your 95 w/JBL sound, there is an external amp.

Yep! There's an external amp on both Premium and JBL/LUX radio systems. On the JBL/LUX radio system, there's also a sub amp powering its subwoofer. The sub amp is right next to the 4-channel amp.

yeah but Doug (bajaX), doesnt have premium or JBL, so i dont think he has an amp.

Hmmmm...interesting. I thought the systems with a 6-disc CD changers are the Premium systems. I know there are not any markings stating that it's a premium system. Only the JBL/LUX systems have the "JBL" markings on the receiver and the subwoofer. One of my friend's '95 XLT doesn't even have a changer and it's a Premium system. So I'm pretty sure Doug's system is the Premium system.
