I have a stock 92 Explorer, and it sits pretty low, so i was think of switching the rear leaf spring and puting them on top of the anxle to get some height. is this a good place to start.
You have the right idea about increasing the height of your explorer. I would say that depending on the condition of your rear leaf springs you might want to replace them with new spring packs. If you think that the stock springs, sping packs, still have some potential then look into either a single or dual add-a-leaf, AAL. This will increase your load capacity and also give you the needed increase in height. Also for increased height you could look into a suspension lift . Play around wit hte rear leaves and see how you like the ride quality and then go from there
if you go SOA then you will get aproximatley 6 inches of rear lift......now there is a 1.5,2 4.5, 5.5, 6, and 8 inch suspension lift for your year. Then there is the 2 and 3 inch body lifts....do some searching around BTW welcome to the site.
