ok, i looked all over the forum, and cant find where i can run the wires for a sub. I know i need to get through the firewall to get to the battery, but where? And where inside the cab can i run the rca wires and the battery wire, i know they have to be on opposite sides of the car or else you can get distortion. I would like the wires to be hidden in the cab, but i dont want to completely rip out the interior. Thanks!

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm
okay,

First where is your amp ?

the only thing coming from the engine should be the power wire fo the amp.
the RCA's go from the head unit to the amp and yes you are correct keep the rca wires as far away from the power as you can. Really a few inches is pleanty.
then from the amp goes your sub speaker wires.

To answer your question better I need to know where your sub is and where your amp is.

Oh also, welcome to the site.
Dont be a stranger.

i guess that might help a bit, lol, the sub and amp are gonna be in the back. I Dont know where the exact location will be, but where to run em back there is the only prob, thanks!

Here is what I did.
I have two amps. One under the passenger seat, one in the right quter panel.
I ran my RCA's down under the center console to the amp under the passenger seat.
and then to the amp in the quarter panel.
The power comes in thrugh the passenger side wheel well ( see photo 1 )
and hits a distro. ( photo 2 ) From there one wire goes to the under the seat amp and the other goes to the quarter amp.
The sub and the amp are both in the right quarter so that is self explainitory.
The speakers for the seat amp just go their own direction all under the carpet.
See amp in photo 3

I ran my power wire through the firewall on the drivers side, there was a rubber grommet near the pedals that I cut and pushed the wire through. From there I ran the wire underneath the plastic trim that goes along the floor right next to the doors, then came out under the back seat and into the cargo area. I did the same thing on the passenger side for the RCAs except just ran them behind the dash to attach to the HU. Hope this helps answer your question.

thats perfect, thanks a ton guys, you really helped.

why should one keep the power seperate from RCA cables?

To prevent interference.
