Where to start?

Well i've decided to start building my first gen explorer... But I dont know where to start? Its 100% stock right now. Any suggestions?

Seriously what do you want the end product to be? Rock crawler- daily driver? pre runner?

I'm thinking pre runner ish... Driving through trails and exploring the vast outdoors is what I'm mainly after... Maybe just more off road worthy I guess.
By no means does it need to be a daily driver or even street legal.
