Who has an SCT Tuner - couple questions..

A local guy here is selling an SCT programmer - 3015EO.
1 - He says its been used on one vehicle so it has 5 bullits left? what does that mean?
I assume it can only be used on 5 vehicles?
Or 5 times?

2 - Iv wanted to get a code reader anyway an this device will read and clear codes on any ODBII vehicle or just fords?

3 - any other questions I should ask the seller?

He wants $250 for it.

I have this chip i love it

dont know how many cars u can use it on but like the fact that you can plug it in to the computer and change what you want

It can only be used on 5 different vehicles (one at a time), then it has to be sent in to an sct dealer to be reset for a hefty fee.

It can read codes on any obd II car as far as I know

Make sure he has vehicle returned to stock or it won't work on your explorer.

But honestly for a little under $400 you could get a new x-cal 3 from Jah81592 with custom tunes written just for you. And it would cost about $120 for 3 new tunes for the used programmer, so you would only save a few dollars buying the used one, unless it already had programs compatible with you explorer. My advice is to just buy a new one from James.
