People would just sign up from the entire country, leaving their Name, City and State and their contact number in case someone needs help. We drive to other states once in a while, we travel all over our homeland but you never know when you might need someone's helping hand. That would be last resort but at least something. I know how busy we are and how much we have on our heads but just think about it, it might happen to you too.
Shall we do it here at home?
your feedback guys?
If this helps, the Volkswagen Club of America has something called the VWCA T.I.N. (Tourist Information Network). Taken from their newsletter, the T.I.N., "allows you to get information from various cities through fellow club members. Get a list of members who would be happy to help you on your way to find the best sites to visit in their town, help you if you have trouble by recommending a garage for repairs you might need, recommending a good motel or campground in the area or even just corresponding with you as you wish."

Which reminds me, is Hooters going to be able to accomodate all of us? Or is it going to be "play it by ear"?

Cameron, The page looks good but I think you should try to get rid of the yellow arond the explorer. Other than that I think it looks great.

Leave the picture. If you can't get rid of the yellow just make the yellow into a little oval around the explorer.

I already got rid of the picture until I can clean it up. I like the idea of putting a Ford style oval around it! Maybe in blue? I'll try some ideas out and see what you guys think of it.

Cam, I like the look of the new page, I am going to take some pics after 2001 and I get my shackles and twist done.
I think I am taking the Safari Bar off the Sport and am putting it on the XLT. Cause I don't have the money for the Bar I won't yet.
I am only bringing my son to Hooters, wife is less than enthusiastic about my new hobby.

Already then, idea of creating an "Explorer Rescue Team" was based on a similar "club" created by the VW people. Not VW of A though but by the "Type 2" list which I'm part of too. It's called A.I.R.S. "AirCooled Interstate Rescue Squad". It serves the "Vintage VW crowd". It's a good thing too. Imagine having car trouble on the road far away from home! You can always count on someone from the area to give you a helping hand.
Anyway, that's about it. As far as Hooters? I'm not sure but I might bring my wife and kiddies with me. My 7 year old son comes for sure.
See you all there and........... stay warm untill then.

Witch Level?
I was just wondering what Level everyone was planning on running at Attica. My plan is to do Level 1 Friday (to get a feel for it) and then doing Level 2 on Saturday. Hopefully I will be able to hitch along with someone on Sunday that is doing a Level 3 or higher.
