i have a 99 xlt 4x4 and my front wheels are not engaging for some reason. the tcase switches into 4x4 high and low but front wheels dont pull. it makes all groaning sounds it did before when the 4x4 worked right but now nothing the limited slip doesnt even work. it goes into low gear and everything. im confused plz help.

if you have the auto 4by4 feature its possible you broke the pins sometime or another.this hasnt happened to me or anything but i hear they can break easy.for this reason serious 4by4 guys replace them with the manual engage type.

Also, some 4x4s are activated with Vacuum pressure... So if you have a vacuum leak, then no 4x4. Check to see if your A/C vents are working and changing properly.. If you got only Defrost vents.. then you most likely have a vacuum leak.
