Has anyone received a letter from Ford yet regarding the Wilderness AT replacement plan?
I have read many threads regarding what others have done, but am still confused. The refund form says it is only to be used if the purchase of replacement tires was up to May 22 2001. If the dealer replaces them I thougth that if a selection from the recommended tire list is made, the replacement tires were free of charge. I read a thread where someone had to pay the difference even though they used a tire from the list. If you buy them from a tire dealer other than Ford, you pay them and bring the old tires to Ford where they will submit a different refund form to Ford and the money will get to you in 30 days or so.
I think I'll wait for the letter from Ford since I have approx 11,000 miles on a non-daily driver and Canada made Wilderness AT's that are garaged when the Explorer is not in use.
