Will 07 Mustang Engine work in 04 Explorer?

I have an 04 Explorer with 4.0. (not sport trac) I am wanting to replace the engine and from what I have been told by others on here and elsewhere, I can use an engine from a mustang. I just want to make 110% sure before I buy it. Will an engine from 2007 Mustang (4.0 VIN N, 8th digit, SOHC) work in my 2004 Explorer (4.0L (SOHC), (VIN E, VIN K, 8th digit), exc. Sport Trac). If it will, what do I have to change. I assume the intake needs changed, but is there anything else other than that that I need to change? Thanks for your help!

You can use a parts store to check sensor/switch comparability. Otherwise, I'd only use it as a long block. You could visually inspect things for compatibility, such as oil pan, but I'd plan on just reusing all the accessories off your engine (pan, intake, sensors, VC's maybe etc...)
