Not sure if there is a thread on this or not. Ok, I have a 5.5" superlift on a '94 XLT. Currently running 32X11.5, they rub a little bit while wheeling. I want to go to 33X12.5 without doing any trimming. I keep reading about Warrior Shackles and Torsion Twist? Are these compatable with my lift? How can I clear 33's without trimming??? Also anyone know where to get quick disconnects for the front and rear sway bar.

Thanks ahead of time!

Derrick

PS - Got back this weekend from camping. Checked out the start of Dwsey Ushim?? trail. I made it thru the start but I need 33's and a rear locker to continue.

torsion twist is 95 aned later.....you can do war153 shaclkles for 1.5-2 inches in back...

Are the 153 warrior shackles compatible with my lift? These are for the rear only??? What about the front. Any ideas so I can clear 33's.

shackles work with the leafs...you may look into taller coils for the front or f150 coil seats

Take it into Tom Davis and his class on the sawzall :) he'll make 35's fit it you want. :) Cut the fenders and whatever else don't fit. :)

Save yourself some money and height. Get the Sledge hammer out and pund the front of the firewall so you can clear 33s without lifting it anymore. As for the rear, you can roll the little lip and it won't rub anymore either. At least I would hope not with 5.5" already. When I had 33s without the fenders, I didn't rub in the front with my 4" lift. Lifting it to 7" with 33s might make the tires look REALLY small too. My opinion of course.

OK Ok, basically I need either a sawz all or a sledge hammer. It seems that there are some people out there running 33's with a 5.5" lift. My lift is around 4 years old and things didn't seem to rub in the beggining. Could my springs be getting old? Is somthing getting wore out? thanks

Ah ha!

The clue! You've got sagging front coils! Call Superlift, and get a new set of front coils. As for the rear, you can pick up a set of 4dr rear leafs from a junk yard, and replace them.

Presto, lift restored!

You should *NOT* be rubbing with 33's on the 5.5" Superlift kit, anywhere on the body. You may be rubbing on the radius arms, and on the front sway bar. Only cure for that - less offset/backspacing.

Thanks people!

I love this site! Thanks for everones help. I think my cure is to replace my front springs and rear leafs. Should I do anything else since I will have the X apart? Also any info on quick disconnects for the front and rear sway bar would be appricieated.

Thanks,

Derrick
