I have a 2020 ST and the driver window wouldn't roll up the other day. Took things apart and the wire was all discombobulated and so essentially the regulator system is shot. It's completely different than any other window regulator I've replaced. I found a decent vid for getting it out but they don't follow through with replacement. Does anybody have a link to the procedure or has anyone done it that could give me some tips or advice? Thanks in advance.

Edit: I did find a video that shows the install as well but if you'd like to share, I'd still appreciate it. Or just vent! That's okay, too! At least I'm going to make it worthwhile by upgrading the 3" and 6x9" door speakers and add some deadening material. Shrug.

I didn't know that existed. Thanks, friend!!!

Following up on this thread. We've had ongoing issues with our driver-side window on 2020 Ford Explorer ST.

We've followed the numerous suggestions of youtube posts about reset of window travel. These fixes seem to be band-aid solutions and don't provide permanent fix. The driver window will work fine for another day/week/month but will get stuck all-over again.

Based on this thread, is the problem typically with the (a) regulator assembly, or (b) the window motor??

Is the "best practice" recommendation to replace door regulator and/or motor with new replacement?

Is this issue only on first iteration of this new generation Explorer (ie. model year 2020). Was this fixed on later years?

example: would it be relatively safe to buy a salvage door regulator and/or motor off a 2022 explorer (any trim)?

regulator assembly (no motor)

I had issues with it not going up all the way at first. I would "reset it" and that would help for a while. Until it didn't. I would just replace the regulator, if I were you.
