I got this idea from a person on the Audi Forum! We have had ours on the wall for 3 months and it holds up just fine!

DO NOT use the mounting screws that the flipup tool holder provide. The bolts should be just long enough to tighten down the bracket and the width of a standard 2"x6" or 2"x8" (2"x6" will suffice though).
For this same attachment, get some heavy duty washers for the front side of the bracket and the backside of the board.(May need lock washer -thats what I used). Don't forget the nut. Get a nyloc so they don't back out.

You need to determine the spacing you want for your set-up. You basically have the tire diameter and any spacing you want between them, so you decide. YOU MUST attach the board securely (going overboard here will not be a crime) to the wall via the vertical studs. You do this using long heavy duty lag bolts (say 3/8" dia) going 1-1/2times the thickness of the 2"x6" (say 2+3=5"long). This should put you 3 or so inches into the stud wall.
Use large fender washers to make sure you don't squash the 2"x6" but it should be compressed firmly.

Here's your shopping list for a set of tires/wheels:
(4) - Everbilt FlipUp Tool Holder (can be purchased at Home Depot)
(8) - 1/4"x2" bolt (confirm dia w/bracket, get largest dia as possible)
(8) - Heavy Duty Washers for face of Tool Holder (confirm the fit)
(8) - 1/4" Large Fender Washer for backside of board
(8) - Locking Nuts (preferably nylocs or double up on the nuts tightened upon one another)
(1) - 2"x6x10" pine board (for 20" wheels)
(6) - 3/8"x5" Lag bolt
(6) - 3/8" Large Fender Washer.

Assembly:
a) Space out the tool holder on the board.
b) Pre drill holes for tool holder bolts.
c) Mount tool holder securely (tighten to the point of squashing) to board. Don't worry if bolt & nut protrude on the back side. You won't see them. Drywall too is not an issue there as they will just burry.
d) Predrill holes for lag bolts at the stud wall spacing. Predrill also small pilot holes for set nails.
e) Mount board to studs & level. Use a set nail on one end then level using the other set nail on the opposite end.
f) Now drill small pilot holes thru the board into the vertical studs.
e) Attach lag bolts & fender washer tightly (again, to point of squashing the board).
g) Double check that everything is nice & firm. The bracket setup should be rock-solid almost strong enough to hang on.

If you have any questions just ask!

NICE!! Thanks for the item checklist etc.
