wipers won't work

Okay, did a search and didn't find much. My front windshield wipers won't work when I try and use the washer. They'll work with just the wipers but not the washer. What can I try to fix this? Not fun driving with a really dirty windshield at night

check your fuses, both in the door jamb and under the hood, if those are alright, your switch may be gone. the switch in my ranger has major issues, as i have to play with it a lot to get the washer to work. ive heard they arent fun to replace either, and in my thunderbird, it was 250 dollars for a new one. if yours is gone, hopefully it is cheaper for an explorer. good luck man!
