Hey guys,

I have a '98 explorer and im having trouble with my front windshield wipers. I can not get any wiper fluid to pump. I dont even hear the pump work when i press the bottom. I know its not the pump because the back wiper and fluid both work. I think its the relay and have located the aux box where the relays are i just dont know which relay/fuse i need to pull. If someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Thanks

im not sure about the relays, someone else should chime in about that.
But i had these issues with my 97 and it turned out to be that MFS switch.

Multi-Function Switch.
Its the switch you use to turn on turn signals, wipers and washer motor.
If your convinced it is relay related, go get a new one and swap around the relays until you find it. There are relays under the hood, on the left side power distribution box and I think there is another gathering of them in a black box on the right side of the truck, just below the airfilter box.
My problem was also the MFS, but since all the other functions of the switch were fine, I just wired up a fancy-schmancy lighted rocker switch to the washer motor. VIOLA, fixed.
