all major audio corps should sell wiring kits as well, like kicker-infinity-JL

waytek wire is good not sure if your looking for just audio wiring, but anyway www.waytekwire.com

I say KNU, they make great wire

www.knukonceptz.com i have a ton of their wiring in my truck, great prices and everything is great quality

their 1/0 kolossus wire is a ton bigger than most other 1/0s, but i say for 1/0 wire nothing can touch the flexibility of kicker hyper flex wires

Car audio stores tend to believe their wire is made of gold.
I have found that West Marine (if you have one around) has awesome prices on excellent stranded wire in all sizes, they also have all the connectors you will need for much cheaper then a kit or hardware store.
Online retailers work too of course.

on those sites i could only find small amount of wire, except on waytek but do you have to be a company to order?

I buy from Ebay. You can get killer deals. I'm in the opinion that wire is wire as long as it's the correct size for your application. I don't hear any difference, & have been happy with off brand wiring for years & years & years of use.

so you are just going to ignore West Marine?
Hell Home depot has witring too much cheaper then car audio places.

i am not ignoring west marine, in fact it is the better of the sites. to those of you who have re-wired under your hood how much wire am i going to need.

You have West Marine in San Diego, a few of them
The amount of wire you need depends on where you mount your amp, where you un the cable through the firewall, etc

ok, so i already ran the 4 gauge for the amp and cap, i am wandering for under the hood, like do i need to make the wiring from engine to batt, alt to batt and batt to ground bigger? i am told to mak the ground to batt the biggest wire also?

weldingsupply.com is where I got my 1/0 wire, cheap and effective. I'm sure it's much like the marine store suggested

since there are a few west marine shops by me i will have to check that out first.

if you ran 4 gage from the fuse back to the amp you should run 4 gage to the battery, use the same size feed for the whole run

Just ordered all of my wire from Ebay....and spent just over $100 to wire 2 amps 4ga., run new wire to 4 door speakers, fuse holders,6 stinger RCA's and 2 dist blocks.

Get Knu... Bill is great to deal with.

i am also thinking of running another battery as well but do not know where or how to hook one up. My goal is to evetually get another 2 10inch type r's and another 1600 watt amp. Would i need more than a 1 farad cap? Also should the ground wires be bigger than any other wire?
