the Yamaha 3.0L has been done into Rangers so it should fit in an Explorer

this would be ALOT of work and you dont get alot of torque for a truck

It's the high output engine that is in the Taurus SHO. As mentioned in that ad, you will need to adapt it since it's designed to be used with a 3.0L bell housing.
