I just received a molded wood dash kit from Wood Dash Experts. It really looks great after installing it. I have attached pictures before and after. This is in a 2000 Eddie Bauer.

I'd really like to find something along these lines. But spending that kind of money I don't want to be using blanks to fill those holes. Seems rather cheap to me.

I was wondering that also-but take a look, they have a radio bezel for 4X2- AWD, with or without rear wiper-and fogs--Has no hole at all for the 4WD switch

Filling holes

I'd really like to find something along these lines. But spending that kind of money I don't want to be using blanks to fill those holes. Seems rather cheap to me.

I just had the one round hole and one sloted hole to fill. The sloted hole does not hardly show at all. You can see the round hole but not enough that you even notice it. If I would have cut another piece of double back tape on it and put it in you would not been able to see it hardly at all. The quality of this product is the best I have seen. I had a friend that purchased a wood dash kit for his Dodge off an Ebay Store for half the price. I would not ever put it on my dash. Like you say using blanks is the only thing I could see that could be improved but I do not think you will find anything better.

The only thing if you buy this kit that radio bezel is not including in that price of $128.00 and the other items you get are not molded parts. they are just flat pieces and do not look near as good. I called them and tried to purchse that radio bezel with the molded kit and they would not do it. You can purchase that bezel for $80.00 dollars but you still pay the $252.00 for the molded dash kit and will have the extra radio bezel with the extra holes. It does not make sense but that is they they do it.

Jerrym,

which wood shade did you use? That's the exact color I want for my Expy. How hard is it to install, by the way; is it basically just popping off the stock trim and snapping the new trim in it's place?

I got the English Burlwood. It is really easy to install. It took me less than 30 minutes to install it. You do not remove any of the trim. It fits over the top of the original trim held on with double back tap. Main thing is clean the trim where the tap is going to contact. Fit the wood dash on before removing the backing from the tap so to see where to clean the area. They furnish the cleaner and you do not want to clean any area that is not going to be covered. When you place it with the tap backing off it is on and it would be hard to get it off or move it. It fits perfect looks just as it came from the factory. Where you put the plugs to fill holes that do not have buttons. I Had some double back tap that I put over there tap to bring them out flush with the molded plastic. That way they are not noticable. I had a friend that purchased the flat wooddash, which was cheaper and it does not look as good at all. Be sure to get the molded from Wooddash Experts.

bringing up just because I came across this. So you paid the 252 for the kit and 80 for the radio bezel? Doesnt sound bad at all.

But refering to jon's statment what about the hole for the 4 wheel drive switch.

This is what I got $252.00 including the radio bezel. (4 door-with message center 11 pc.) The 4 wheel drive switch was no problem for me. I used an extra piece of double back tap and shimed it out flush with ths radio bezel and is hardly noticable.
