well the idea about putting wood on the tailgate, naw b/c I want to actually shave the whole window inside. By that I mean, actually take some bending stock make a new rear panel that covers the tailgate and window, glass it and paint it the same black as the enclosure, then josh can use the back up camera he has to see whats behind him. Then make the new center dash piece around the radio and a/c controls, paint them black to match. build a new center console, paint it to match. And the new kick pods, as you guessed it, painted to match!

thats an awesome idea with shaving the window.

i have a back-up camera too, but i haven't even thought about doing that- lol. your gonna have to do more than paint to match to compete with mine though. just thought i maybe heard a little bit of a ****y tone in there.

Well I wasnt getting ****y but.... n/m. Lets see some pics of yours man. I looked atthe pics you had on the website, but it wasnt complete on the website. Also the 9500 series woofers are great woofers.(Here's where I get ****y) I was the first person on the planet with 9500 series woofers from MTX. 6 prototype 12's to be exact. I also am the only person to have dual 1.8 coils in my 9500's. I actually still have one here. Now I wasn't being ****y in the previous post, I was just saying things that i wanted to do to Josh's Explorer, if he wanted to. I dont do this for a living, personally I dont even like doing glass and paint, but who does. The look is awsome, I just dont like doing it. I personally would rather build an SPL competition system then a fiberglassed look anytime, but different people like different things. Sorry for such a long post.

nah, no problem i'm just messing with ya.

i haven't actually finished mine yet- lol. so i really can't talk. its just me working on my truck and business has been such that between that and school and ski racing i haven't touched my truck for about three months. I did get to work a bit on things today though and will be getting back into it soon as it warms up a little more.

I'm gonna be doing some yellow, green, dark green flames on my interior with feathered gold accents on a black base. I'll have the full length center console, the doors, the top of the sub box, the kickpanels, and most of the dash done whenever i get it done. Here's one shot of some paint work done by my friend and painter (the only thing i outsource)

Jeff and Josh worked on it tonight, i took the night off and spent some time with my dad, I dont see him that much anymore with all the vehicle, so we needed some bonding time. I talked to jeff and they bondo'd the seam tonight, if our painter (ryan) is in town sunday we will finish the system up then, if not it looks like it will be monday.

Well I guess I have to eat my words, b/c due to "2" yes "2" unfortunate accidents on Friday night(disclaimer, not from myself or Josh), it will not be ready tonight, we had to respray some clear coat and wet sand the enclosure AGAIN! Lets just say someone had a mishap with the DA and some 80 grit. We did spray the seam with basecoat clear coat tonight though. We did also wetsand alot the seam to make it match. Tommorrow is wetsand more, buff and wax.

Yeah, time to eat my words.. but it might have been done yesterday if those DA slips didn't happen . No biggie, at least it will be done by Wed. at the latest.

Now we sand AGAIN! (see the pattern here )
