Excellent news! Just paid.

I have a 2006 Ford Explorer Limited and want the 6000k's.

I read in another thread that installing 35w HIDs on a 2006+ will cause a check engine due to the incorrect wattage. Do you have a solution for this?

Yes, there are two ways.

First, our kits shouldn't have the problem to begin with, it's similar to the HAL system for the mopar LX models (Charger, magnum, 300) where the computer looks for a 55 watt light, and when it doesn't see it, it acts up.

This is a new product, and all cars are different, for instance my charger flickered, and my friends worked with the same exact kit. If there is an issue, you can wire a radioshack capacitor in-line to level the load so your computer is happy. It's very easy, and I was actually unaware of the 2006 having this system, but more and more vehicles are coming equipped with monitoring systems like this now.

I have a thread I sent you that I created on HID's years ago, that touches base with how to install those that I PM'd you with, it is on ChargerForums.

Thanks!

Any idea when we can expect to start seeing these?

did you place an order? Those who were in the group buy have already begun receiving them.

Post some pics of it....

Sure, here's the ballast.

Here's the bulb...

In the seller's defense, there is no mention of this being a plug & play kit on the first page. So it is my fault for not asking (I wouldn't have purchased it in this case as plug & play harnesses are upwards of $30 per side I think).

The plug in your hand plugs into the connector on the light with the two wires in it. The other two wires coming out of the ballast plug into the bulb itself (black to black, red to red). on the other end of the two wire plug is some bare terminals that you need to wire to your headlight low beam ground and positive. Not exactly plug and play but it can be done.

And on this site, 9008 (H13) Male plug ends are $3.49 + shipping
