worth it?

currently have a 1994 Eddie Bauer X, the A4ld automatic transmission hinders building bigger......

Am considering the M5od manual swap, this swap worth it? or should I save money, not to mention the work, and find a first gen X with a stick already in it?

Before I swapped to a manual tranny, I would consider the distance between myself and the wrecking yard. You can eat up a lot of time and gas money riding back and forth to get another small item that you didn't know about or forgot.

I would buy a donor vehicle (either a wreck or one with a bad engine. etc) and park it close by until the swap was complete.
