Would like some advice............

My wife and I are in the market for a Ford Ranger. We came across a 2002 Ranger Supercab 2dr. It has the 4.0 liter v6, 2 wheel drive. The amenities are ac, cc, pd, pl, auto, stock driving lights under the bumper. The body looks to be in great shape with no scratches. I am meeting with the owner to take a test drive tomorrow afternoon. The owner is looking to get $10,500. This will be only the second vehicle I have ever purchased and was wondering if this sounded like a fair price. Any advice would be appreciated. Here is a pic of a similar truck. Thanks.

I would go to the kelly blue book site. You can enter all the info, options, condition, and zip code to get a dollar value for both dealer and private sales.

After re-evaluating our decision. We found another deal. We found an 02 edge. 83,000 miles but drives like it has 20,000 miles. This one has 4x4, ac, pw, pl, od, 4 doors and is going for $14,000. According to www.nada.com the trade-in value is $11,000 and resale is $14,000. I think the wife has fallen in love with this one. I personally am not wild about red but she's the one that has to drive it.
