Wrench Light ON

Hi ,
So while driving on the highway doing a steady 65-70 and all of a sudden I hear a loud blowing noise coming from under the hood. i look at the dash and see the the Wrench light turned on right after. The loud noise happened 2 times and stopped after a few seconds... the wrench light is still on right now.
Has anyone had this happen? what to look for?

If you have a scanner pull the codes and post them if not go to your local autozone, advance autoparts, or anyware you can get the codes pulled. Also v6 or v8?
