WTF is wrong with my speaker...

the mid woofer on my left audiobahn component set stopped working today. I checked all the wires, then i found out something VERY strange (to me anyways). If i press on the cone lightly... it plays fine, otherwise it doesnt play at all. ... whats wrong ???

My guess would be the voice coil has left town.

id suggest taking it back to where you got it from and ask for a refund...or a new speaker
it probably is the voice coil...or the wire contacts are broken..it tends to happen

I have bad luck, no time, and no money... sucks. Someone bashed on my hood, left 2 dents and a crease, one dent is about 5 inches in diameter right on the character line. Now my speaker stops working, i haven't ever played at a level where it sounds distorted or like it would blow either.

they'll send you a new component set. my friend got a new subwoofer sent to him after he ruined his sub. it was his fault too. he thought a cheap amp would be just as good as a quality amp. he kept the gains up all the way, and well... you can figure out the rest.


most manufacturers wont repair or replace free of charge if the equipment has been abused. but audiobahn did.

I'm hoping they have good customer service. Still though, it took me forever to get this all installed in my free time(which is like 2 hours a week)... now i have to wait more. Oh well, I'll just try not to think about it, and plan how to kill whoever keeps trying to deflate my tires and put dents in my hood. Assholes....
