WTT my 4.88's for your 4.10's

i have a set of 4.88 gears for a ford 8.8 and the dana 35 TTB and would like to trade for somebody's GOOD set of 4.10 8.8 and dana 35 TTB gears (possibly with some cash).

The gears were purchased from performance off road center and were installed by a professional drive-line specialist. they currently have about 25,000 miles on them.

here is the thing... i still have 4.88s installed on my first gen explorer, if you are serious and want to trade you will have to give me time to pull the axles and get the gears out.


NOTE: i would also be willing to trade entire axle assemblies. my 8.8 has new bearings and seals, brakes, and is SOA.
dana 35 TTB needs a shaft seal, passenger side IIRC.

so nobody really wants to trade my set of 4.88's for your set of 4.10's (or 4.11's)?

id be willing to do straight trade if they are in good condition. mine are in great shape. fluids changed regularly and not abused.

Check and see if the gear and axles from the '93 Ex are the same as the gears/ axles from a 2003 Explorer Sport Trac. I have a set of 4.10's in mine, the front suspension and axle are out for a SAS and the rear gears are still in but I might be able to work something out with you. I'll have to see if my buddy can remove the gears for me because I have a broken shoulder and arm right now.

rear gears are the same the front is different. The 93 is high pinion and the 03 sport trac is low pinion.

the 8.8 gears im not too concerned about. my local pick and pull has tons of them. what i am more interested in are the dana 35 ttb gears seeing as those are somewhat difficult to find.

i figured theres gotta be somebody out there who wants to upgrade and trade set for set and it would be easier to just trade rather than trade and pull some.

the ttb gears are also reverse rotation instead of standard rotation.

the offer is still available, i am willing to trade my front pumpkin with 4.88 gears as well as my rear end ring and pinion for a set of 4.10 or 4.11 gears. or for the right price/deal, both axles as a whole.

willing to negotiate, i just need a better highway gear for 33s. these would be perfect for 35s or 37s
