Hello everyone, my car has been whining for some time and after recently replacing my 3rd front differential and still having the problem. Im drawn to the transfer case no as the problem and was wondering if anyone thought it was a good idea to put Wynns transmission stop leak in to see if it quietens the case down. I'm probably going to be replacing it soon anyway but I'd rather try and see if the whining goes away using that fluid than just splash out on a new case and it's not needed.

I dont recommend stop leak - ever, it will ruin the seals and causes transmissions to fail, and it will swell the seals on the transfer case if used there.

I would not think the stop leak would fix a noise either, the best thing is to just make sure its full.

Maybe drain the transfer case and inspect what comes out, oil dirty oil or chunks?
