X-1 got a new suspension 6 inches worth

First off many thanks to Kodiak, Jeff Seal, and Dale Theissen for the parts I purchased from them, everything was in great condition. I have installed a six inch skyjacker class I lift up front, this also included drop swaybar brackets, and quick connects, new brake lines, and a skyjacker steering staybalizer. For the rear I went with 4 inch superlift springs, and warrior shackles, running 4 inch explorer pro comp shocks mounted to sway bar mount, this temp till I get the 6 inch shocks. Total lift was 6 inches upfront, and 6 1/2 in the rear, no driveshaft issues at all:p The camera was dead this weekend so next week I will get pics up.

Next project, 3 inch body lift to fit those 35's:D

Also thanks to Hank, all my bushing are daystar, with exception to the rear springs, they came with superlift bushings.

Just an update,
Installed a P.A. 3 inch body lift today, and have also finally put on some tires, 33x12.50x15 B.F. Goodrich allterrains. Won't actually get my wheels till next week, still running 15x7 stockers:( . But with the added lift of the body lift, it now gives me 9 inches total lift, so lift is done, finally!! Now is time for accessories, first up is a pair of smittybuilt black powdercoated nerf bar, those are for the wife, she needs help getting in, roof rack for my spare and some lights, and a winch combo, brushguard, do not want to get stuck somewhere and have no way out. This winter will be gears and lockers, looking at a detroit for the front, and a e-locker for the rear, due to ice around here in winter. With all the lift it is still legal in my state, 29 inches at the bumper, and 52 inches at the rear door handles, total heighth is a little over 7 feet tall, whoohoo!!:bounce: I will post some current pics tomarrow, it was to dark when I finished to take any.
See ya

Kick ass.....did you run into any major problems putting the body lift on??

Ryan

Not too many, here's my list.
1. front body mounts. The left one wouldn't come out, so I just cut them off with a 4 inch grinder, and used the rubber, and some body washers.
2. The bumper brackets, they definitely suck, but with some mod work they were okay, I had to notch the rear bumper under neath about a half inch to clear the frame for it to sit level, the front bumper mount had to be redrilled to sit level, and it brought the bumper forward about an inch, I may go back and rework it later.

Everything else went pretty good, it wasn't in the instructions, but I went ahead and pulled the front seats to make it easier, and had to loosen battery cables for more length. I didn't use the e-brake mount, with my lift, it wouldn,t work, and had to take the bolt out that holds it up inside the inner fender for enough length, it actually works smoother now that I did that.
When I post pics, you will probably be next in line for a body lift, it make the ex look too sweet, not too top heavy either, of course it will be alot more stable with the wider stance of the 10 inch wheels.
I'm ready to go wheeling!!

Deffinantly gonna do the body lift this summer. But my first big thing is to get a new rear axel under there with 4.10's, I will probably do that with in the next two weeks.

were you one of the ones intested in my 3.73 pig.

Ryan

Yes, :bounce: that is what I wanted, I am running 3.27's now, really need gears!!

Ya I have 3.27's also, I bought a Front pumpkin last year with 3.73's and never used it. Still in the box all packed up. Whats it worth to ya.

Ryan

Hmmm, right back at ya, what's worth to you?

well I paid 150 for it. AndI dont expect to make money off of it

Ryan

That would be fine, I would have to wait a couple of weeks, blew my budget on tires, and wheels.

that's cool take as long as you need Ive had it for a year no big hurry to get rid of it

Ryan

Cool, Ii will get with you as soon as I can, I feel comfortable gearing the rear, but I'm not so sure about the front, the whole pig will make it easier on me.

side shot, total lift 9 inches, and 33 inch tires

Thanks,
Still gotta get the wheels on it, and a few accessories.
David

Holy shot, you need 35's, lol

Looks good, you better hurry up wearin down thoes 33's :D

Damn that looks good!!!

You are making me wanna put a body lift on real soon

Ryan

Hey what's with the colors?
Yomie, yeah gotta wear em down first, probably over winter I can get 35's, too much spent right now to switch, but who knows, things may change.
Ryan1, I knew if you saw it, you would want it, even with 33's it has a good stance, rides well too. I think once the crawlers get on there it will look better, and handle a little better.

are you sure that is a 6 inch lift? it looks like my 92 when I added the 4 Inch before my 3 inch Performance Accessories Body lift. I just wanted to say that it look me an estimated 20hrs to put my body lift on. The suspension was easier. Everything was rusted on and The brackets to relocate the front and rear bumpers don't work without fabrication. It took me a full day to mount them, I had to cut a notch in the rear frame to slide the bumper into. My own blood and sweat but it looks good. If ya need help im here. good luck!!!
