x just bogs then dies....why??

I noticed whenever I'M off roading for a long time the x starts bogging down likes its not getting gas. then it will die out I checked the fuel rail when it does this and it is getting gas and spark, but if I start it and push the gas it bogs and doesn't reve up it has to sit for a long time then it will start and run fine also when it is bogging and i'm going down the road it will like surge (speed up then slow down like it gets gas then stops)was thinking spark plugs are pretty new mayby when they get hot they start giving out? I don't know anyone else have this problem? any suggestiong would be great....

What kind of gas mileage are you getting?

I'm getting about 14 mile to the gallon..

Have you ran a fuel pressure test?

no fuel pressure test yet i forgot to say it runs fine 90% of the time for regular on road driving just does it after alot of driving around town and mostly when I'm off roading. I guess I cold take the fuel pressure tester with me and when it does it check what it reads. anymore suggestions please .
