4" lift came today. still need: front shocks, 1.5" coil spacers, maybe a longer pitman arm, 3.73s. and if i can find a cheap used locker or posi ill do that, if not itll stay open. manual hubs way later down the road.

question: whats the best way to get the rubbery coating off the springs? its damaged so id want to repaint them..

Did you get ra drop brackets?which arm is that?i have ra bracket and fa 400 arm

the radius arm brackets are next to the coils lol

i dont see a part # on the pitman, so i have no idea.

Those square brackets look like RA mount drop brackets.

Hahahah. The dreaded drop plate drop bracket. Make sure you clearance it or it WILL hit the diff.

You can use a torch to burn the rubber off. Or you could have them sand blasted. When you do the lift, make sure that you do the suspension bushings, and I would do all four ball joints. You may even want to check and replace front axle universal joints.

still havent gotten my tow hooks on, havent touched any of the lift kit, or bought anything else for the lift.

but i did find some wheels at the junkyard. i wish i had found them before i put the 32s on the stock wheels tho
wheels $11, tires $15, taking tires off wheels x4 $20. only keeping 2 tires of the 4 + 4 wheels = $82.63

so im finally starting the front section of my lift. didnt own a jack that would go very high so i came up with an idea.

but does it work you ask?

Eww you should have taken that off first.now its under pressure.jack up each hub a little and put jack stands under them and take it out

im aiming to get strong like brandons famous valve cover bolt muscles. i got it off after it was jacked up, shocks too

my passenger hub way be busted. the innards of the cover fall out, and i was missing the washers on the spindle end. only had the toothed gear thing, ring with teeth and the c-clip. drivers side had washers/spacers on it too.


how the hell do you get out the stubborn 'key' that holds the nut and wheel bearing on?? drivers side wont come off with a magnet or a pick. ive blasted it with brake cleaner too. passenger side came out easyyyy

Might have to tighten or loosen it while tryn to pull it out wit a magnet

problem is i dont have the socket for it. autozone didnt have anything. passenger side i lightly gripped it with vise grips and it turned, this side not so much
