Xeek,

I've got a bad lifter in that same cylinder, but the intake side of things :p.

question for ya, did you reuse those perma dry valve cover gaskets I'm spyin? I opened mine up to see where my ticking is and just closed it back up with those gaskets to drive it for a bit yet. Wondering if I need to get them again when i open er back up..

Benjam :D

Yea I reused em. Just added another dab of rtv on the corners and a dab on one of the bolts cause the intake hole is stripped slightly.
I wanna say back when I changed the pushrods 5000miles ago I reused the same gaskets back then.. didn have any leaks since then. Havebt driven it enough to see if it leaks now or not

they didnt melt to the heads at all? I thought that was a selling point of theirs. lol

anyways, truck is looking good. what ever happened to your incident with the possible hydrolocking you had a few weeks ago?

They have built in rtv I think. But no they ddnt fuse to my heads. Came off easy.

Not sure what happened. I think I bent #2 exhaust valve. When the valve is shut I had looseness if the rocker. When open it was tight. Don't think th lifters at fault. No idea what cylinder #6 issue is, don't want to take that side apart.
Alternator bearing was bad and made noise. But I still think somethings up with the crank bearings from noises I hear. Pluswater got in there so makes sense.

But it runs

Hey where do you go to get most of your parts?

had another run in with a tree.....

Ouch. I'll be the first to ask. Howd you manage that one

tried to go to the left of said tree, out of the deep mud/water. slid into a rut(to the right) turned fully to the left and bounced out the the rut and the truck spun, all while bouncing off 5grand in 2nd gear and landed dead square in the middle of a tree. fit perfectly between the frame rails.
funny thing is i thought id get stuck in that hole, i backup up into it and got out after i hit the tree. the hole was as deep as my rear bumper.

lost my drivers hood pin, had to weld it back in. poked a hole in the rad cause the core support caved in, lost my drivers parking light(cracked), bent the drivers tie rod, snout on the water pump was carving a hole in the plastic covering the efan motor.
dodge 3500 and a tow strap pulled the frontend back out. sledge hammer used for touch ups

ouch kinda figured it was something like that. hope u get everything straightened out ok

so the bent tie rod gave me horrible toe in and made the truck sway A LOT as the suspension moved.
replaced the bugger. bent it right at the end into a straight line lol

edit: much better now. did a quick alignment, almost dead on by eyeball. and sterring wheel stays straight now and no more swaying(besides swaybar sway), yay!

I would just do a fake cover in the front, not the arms.ps nice pic

nice diff cover wish I can do mine, but what kind of paint did u use? and did u paint ur calipers?

Good times.
When we returned from Colorado in our 93 I found it had thrown away 3 of the engine crossmember bolts --- I guess those need some loc tite eh? :)

so um, i had my passenger fender off for a snorkel addition, im thinking airflow got caught underneath the hood and caused this:

on the interstate going to work doing 65mph, hood tries to lift up with so much force the cotter pins on my hood pins failed and my hood flew up and smacked my windshield. i kept myself calm, said wtf and pulled over(having no doors helps being able to see what lane youre in). took out bungee cords and stuck em through the holes for the hood pins and a sledgehammer to bang the hood down and put the other end of the bungees in the frame. then got off the interstate and drove home slowly.
my roof is bent in in the middle also

i have no idea. they were just gone. the one that was left was loose. and the two underneath(not the visible ones) were loose.

monday my upper radiator hose blew off and i lost 1.5g of coolant. stopped at a random house and a 70yd old drunk black lady kept touching all on me while me and her son filled me back up with water lolol -_-
