2011 Explorer XLT
Hey guys, i need a little help shopping for new wheels for my 11' XLT.

I had BFG All Terrain's on my old 94' explorer and loved them. Sadly they dont fit the 11's stock rims.

I guess i need new wheels as well? and have to go down to 17" ?

Are their any other brand tires out there with a similar BFG A/T tread pattern?

If i need new wheels, what is the bolt pattern for an XLT? I have the stock 18" wheels right now.

Any advice or direction pointing to help improve the tires and profile would be appreciated.

PS. I live in Memphis so i cant put Blizzacks or Winter/Snow only on. They would turn to bubble gum in the summer.

If you want to stick with factory 18" wheels, look into Nitto Terra Grapplers. Before my Explorer, I had a Jeep Wrangler and replaced the factory Goodyear Wranglers with the Nittos. I initially went to 4Wheel Parts to buy BFGs but changed my mind as the Nittos were about $50-60 cheaper PER TIRE. I think the costs have gone up but they have a range of sizes and may work. I was happy with them. I put over 40k miles on them before trading in the Jeep and probably had 30-35% tread-life remaining.
