Well bought an explorer last night, its a 1997 2wd, gunna jack it up most likely, 35" Mud tires, and maybe a little odd ball stuff. Hope to order my lift within the next month or so.

BMX is gunna post the pics for me in a little while, my PC is messing up....

Sold it, Its nice, but was unpractical as a Daily driver, 5 -6 MPG(mainly cuase of the gears) no A/C, and when the guy i bought it from built it they didnt do it right so there were some things wrong, plus i just wanted something nicer. Im either gunna SAS and 4wd this in a year or so, or i plan to buy liek a Sami or or somthing to offroad.

Ahhh I knew you'd do it! Welcome to the world of 2wd! Woot!

All kidding and joking aside, why lift a 2wd?

Oooooooo, you shouldn't have said that!!!! :p Have you seen many threads lately? There have been quite a few more lifted 2wd trucks. The main reasons are looks and making them "PreRunners". Since Xkid is in FL, he can't exactly do too much desert. :D Hell, even I'm able to do a decent amount in 2wd (with only 31s and 3.27s). So I'm sure with a set of 35s and 4.56s or 4.88s, you'd be able to do quite a bit. It won't ever be a hardcore wheeler, but it's good for poser shots. :D

Josh, I told him that the bad thing about this is that he can't make fun of you anymore for having a 2wd! :D

Pics coming soon. :)

Ok, I'm posting these for Caleb. Am I allowed to post pics that show such crazy flex?!? :p

I totally agree with BMX in the above post. Just because it is 2WD doesn;t mean that you can not go wheeling.
Maybe not go as extreme as others but you can especially with a locker you can do a hell of alot.. :fire:

Elite Explorer members can attach pics for other Elite members.. The issue is Elite Explorer members attaching pics for Non-Elites.

thats like me emailling you all my pics and saying post these to my thread for me.... just wierd... i guess....

His PC messed up when he tried to attach them. I was talking to him on AIM and he asked me if I'd post them for him. ;)

Same reason you lift a 4wd. Looks, performance, fit bigger tires, etc.
