Yet another MAF question

I need to replace my MAF. Are the mafs engine and year specific or will they all interchange. I screwed mine while cleaning it and have a line on a used low mileage one from a 4.0. Mine is a 99 5.0. Thanks for any help

So long as the MAF you want to swap has the same electrical connector and it's the same size on both ends, it will probably be fine. I have swapped a few Ford MAF's between V6 and V8 engines without any problems.

You can double-check interchangeability on the auto parts web sites, just look up your vehicle's MAF and the one from the donor vehicle. If they list the same part number, then it should be good to go.
