MFT Update V3.10

So i just read in a eariler post that you need at least 3.5.1 to update to 3.10... does anybody know where i can get a copy of 3.5.1?
I just bought the car used and i dont believe there were any updates ever done to the sync.

Welcome to the Forum.
As Flying68 posted, you would be better off going to the dealer to have it done. It may cost you but you will be up to date. When you said "online" I'm guessing you meant you checked your account. That info is no longer accurate as many have found out.

I found a chart...anything prior to version 2.3 has to be done via the dealer. 2.3 and up can be done via USB and you do not have to go in steps.

Update. I had 3.02 and was able to update to 3.10. Man big difference. Very fast compared to before.

So I have put it off for a while, but I finally put 3.10 on. I checked ford owner first and it said a software update was available to Sync 3 version 2.0. Ford looks like they have eliminated all mention of MFT. Anyway clicking on the link did indeed give MFT 3.10, so at least the backend is correct.

Another thing I noticed is that there were two sets of directions, both for sync 3, one with nav and one without nav. The one with nav said the update included maps, which I know was wrong as our MkC didn't get updated maps when it updated over wifi. Anyway I digress.

So getting on with it, I first tried a 32GB flash formatted exFAT (per the incorrect sync 3 instructions) which errored out. Tried again with the same flash formatted FAT32. Still got the same usb read error when it did its first restart. So then I found that original ford branded flash drive they sent long ago on the 1st big software update. It worked perfectly.

Anyway, now that it is installed I haven't noticed anything different. It deleted my custom wallpaper and the navigation still gives me a failed to calculate route for anything in Oklahoma (works everywhere else). I will find out later if there is still a difference (currently ~0.5%) in the distance and ETA between the map display and the dash display which haven't matched for a while. If I notice anything changes I will update.

3.10 has been a little buggy for me. Sometimes when I'm in the "home" screen (screen divided into quadrants), touching the corner button to go into that function (e.g. nav, hvac, phone, entertainment) doesn't work.

Not trying to revive an old thread but it seems most appropriate here.

have a 2015 MKZ that has Sync MyLincoln Touch with navigation. I recently updated to 3.10 firmware. After updating I found that all my Sirius Travel link buttons are gone from the Navigation. There doesn't seem to be any way to find the info. I can't get the weather radar on the maps anymore and I don't know if I am still getting traffic warnings.

I checked my Sirius account and I show that I have the 6 year included subscription good until 2021. I sent a signal refresh to the car with no change. I hope someone doesn't say they removed this feature in the latest version. I did a master reset and nothing.

Does anyone that updated still have Sirius Travel or did it get removed.

Many members have updated to 3.10. I did a 'Search' on "Travel Link" within this thread and found a similar issue. See post #100.

Thanks. did the same search and found someone who had the same issue. I put FORscan on it and looked for some not asbuilt settings in the APIM. I found that my county code was WS. That was set so I could enter addresses while moving. Set it back to US which then disabled the abilty to input address but allowed the Travel Link buttons to reappear. Makes sense Travel only works in the US.

After the sync 2 v3.10 update, I can no longer play bluetooth music from my iphone XR, with iOS 13.2. Bluetooth phone calls seem to work fine. Any ideas?
