i have a 97 mounty, and ive been lookin at alot of body lifts lately and i just thought- will the brush guard look ok?!???.. i didnt even think about it b4 its a hunter that mounts to the frame, so would i have to ditch it or what??
Well it wouldn't cover the whole front end like it is now, I'd suggest if you go with a body lift that you make brackets that attach to the frame and attach to the push bar (brush guard what ever you want to call it) to lift the push par with the truck
EDIT: Could I ask ya what brand brush guard that is?

hmmm thats an idea but how would i be able to to that if it mounts under the frame and a front bumper bolt..? oh i will go take a pic right now! ten min
..thats what i was thinking...you need to do your bl and bumper brackets first...then do the hacking and welding...you may see some other minor details that may make it easier or harder than you originally thought...

alright! im gettin excited... now ive read and read, but where is a place i can get the lift? 2 or 3 in? i know its prolly been answered already, so i apolagize in advance
is this all i would need? looks like the one everyone is sayin to get
That's what I did on my Ramsey winch mount/grill guard when I put the 2" body lift on my truck. It worked perfectly and didn't jeopardize the strength of the winch mount.
If you're not using the bottom half of the bumper I would cut the top of that bracket ( to use the frame mount ), and cut out a new bottom section that doesn't drop down so low. Should be pretty easy to do and look a lot better. Then all you have to do it have someone weld it up real quick.
