Those are the transmission cooler lines leaking. If you can follow them up to an area that is solid on each side of the damaged area you can cut them out and use some new steel lines with compression fittings to repair. If you use rubber line to make the repair just be sure it’s rated for...

Drop the rear of transmission use a 3 foot extension and a swivel socket.

There is fluid on both sides of servo for apply and release. Did the solenoid pack get replaced?

Hard to make a call from the pictures but the drum in the case is the OD/ coast clutch drum. And the drum that is out is the direct clutch drum. Not sure what your asking. Brad

Is your OD light flashing?

You have the correct VB. The check ball is worn and will be stuck, should not protrude through plate. That will usually cause lockup to try to come on in second gear.

If you have a heat gun check the resistance of EPC as you heat it up. Also the area I marked on the picture you posted looks to have a check ball trying to “make it to the other side “ very common on this unit. All check balls .250”. Brad

Yes, the large one that holds it in the ear will break off of and get in the valve body and you’ll lose overdrive. Brad

Might replace the snap ring for OD servo that breaks.

The best way I’ve found is installing a Superior “Tuff Plate” no drilling or tapping plus its much thicker than OEM. If you end up pulling the unit and are going to replace forward drum stay clear with stuff made in China. Brad

Double check the separator plate for cracks in this area.
