They'd be awesome. How much you want for em?

    dismantling 1999 explorer

Bugger. Don't suppose if you know whether they will fit or not? I know they're cosmetically different.

    Anything mate?

    dismantling 1999 explorer

I don't suppose you have a drivers side tail light for a 1997? As far as I'm told, 1998 onwards are different? And the bolts that hold the front roll bar to the chassis.

    newby looking for an explorer

Good choice going for an explorer over another pajero! Big, petrol engine with bags of power, apart from chains, the engnies are bomb proof and still better MPG than the pajero, 2.8td and 2.5td! The self levelling suspension is the only main thing I can think of, it can be a really simple 'clip...

    windscreen visor

Excellent, will it fit in the back of an explorer? Also, how big is the job of removing the old and fitting the new?

    windscreen visor

Fantastic, thanks. I'm off to trawl through eBay USA!

    windscreen visor

    cruise control not working

Does the ex have dash lights for cruise control? Mine all works as it should, but never had any dash lights. Sorry I can't help with it not working though, not clued up on cruise at all.

    Anyone into scenario?

Paintball fires paintballs and leaves a lovely bruise, air soft fires bb's an doesn't tend to leave any marks, but stings like a *****!

    Anyone into scenario?

I like the idea of air soft, but chose paintball as I hate cheats! It's harder to cheat when you have a large splat of paint on you and a nice bruise for those that try to cheat by wiping! If you go with a lot of friends, cheating wouldn't be an issue, but as I tend to paintball with a lot of...

    Anyone into scenario?

Wow, that's some hardware right there! Not surewe'd get away with firing live rounds at each other in the woods! Although, I could think of a few people I'd like to play that game against! One being the guy that keeps putting fuel up!

    Anyone into scenario?

I've been paintballing for years, pretty much most weekends, as a good way to wind down after a long weeks work. Being ex army, I quickly found a liking for scenario/milsim paintball. My latest toys fitted with e grips and my cyclone feeds will be here Saturday, allowing a respectable 20balls...

    Oom12??

Congrats on having a go yourself, it's a very satisfying feeling when it all goes back together nice. I don't blame you for bailing on the LPG side of things, it's something I tend to leave alone too! Also, congrats on busting your knuckles and finger, again, a very satisfying feeling! :-) As...

    Oom12??

Wow, thats expensive, the kit is £60 retail, but I've never found anywhere that stocks them to sell to traders, so trade price doesn't happen. At my garage, I would charge £50 to fit it. £250 is just a ridiculous price!

    Knackered exhaust power loss

Manifold bolts weren't really a problem, but it depends on the tools you have available to you. I own my own garage, so have all the tools to do the jobs with ease.

    Knackered exhaust power loss

The backbox is £120 to me through the trade and goes the full length of the car, joins straight to the cats. I've never found anywhere that keeps them in stock, but most should be able to get one easy enough, but as most garages do, they'll whack a hefty mark up onto it and charge a packet to...

    Oom12??

He is still going, but has been hard to pin down for a while now. But someone keeps re adding his eBay listing. But if you hit the buy it now, you don't pay upfront anyway.

    Oom12??

Lee in Aylesbury does the work too. Very good too. His eBay Id is watsontv Not sure what price he charges nowadays, but he fits a warranted complete engine for £1500. Justin also has the ad on eBay, if you hit the buy it now, I'm fairly sure he'd be in touch.

    New problem!

I haven't tried to spin the wheels up yet, it's to dry at the mo, next days rain we get, I'll give it a ****, as I live down a mud track, it's like offroading just to get home in bad weather. Chris, I like the idea of the transfer motor, as that's definitely what it feels like, being stuck in...

    Oom12??

The trip to Justin sorts everything, new chains, guides, tensioners, oil, filter, the lot! And obviously, all with the revised parts. Not sure what kind of warranty comes with the job, but never heard of any problems afterwards. Well worth it IMO.

    New problem!

Ok folks, I have a new problem that I'm looking for a bit of advise about. Either my front diff is binding and on its way out, or I am stuck in 4wd, even though the light goes on/off as normal on the dash. It seems just like its in 4wd, the steering binds at either lock and it makes all the...

    lift shackles

So far, I have found the shackles have actually given the truck a lot better handling, not sure if it was just bad before, but definitely better now. I have already fitted extended brake lines, figured it would be a good idea just for the shackles and tt. Longer shocks is probably a good idea...

    lift shackles

Fantastic!! I will be buying THESE spacers, just trying to find the bolts, all i've managed to find so far are coachbolts. Once I have done mine, I will be happy to fit a set to yours.
