I had the same problem with my drivers seat. It was the lumber support along with some metal rod that broke and put a hole in my seat!!! Anyway it was under warrenty but I needed new leather back and inner guts. They never told really why it happened I was just glad I got it fixed for free.

Are you sure it fell of your truck? Maybe you drove over it while driving. I work for the Highway Dept. And it kinda looks like a key top for either a water valve or a gas valve.

The screws don't go flush with the roof but I still like it just paint the screws and rings the same color it'll look fine. As far as leaks no leaks, Had them off for about 5 months and we had plenty of rain.. So leaks, Nah

To remove the rook rack is not hard at all, There are six screws that go into the roof. Unscrew them and take the side rails off.Then if you want put the screws back in the holes. the only thing is when you put the screws back in you can see them and there is like a ring around the screws...

I had my girlfriend clean the bottom(smaller hands) Then carefully I placed a key between the pad and the bottom row and started sanding seemed to have worked just fine... The key thing was just an idea but you have to be real carefull. Then clean the contacts with electrical contact cleaner...

Well that does it!!! I definetly have a spending problem... I just ordered a new head unit(Pioneer I believe it's a DEH 6500), speakers and amp (GM-X574). I've always liked pioneer sound equipment. And the guy can install tomorrow!!!:D

Ok then I'll start looking for a new head unit... Any suggestions on what to look for? I was going to look at sony.
