i replaced my starter and battery cables about a year ago..so i don't think it's that..and if it was the starter it shouldn't even crank right?..i don't remember..it's been a year since i learned about and dealt with that part of the system.. jeremy..

thanks for the suggestion, but if i remember correctly, the iac valve would only be the culprit if giving it gas helps when it won't start..at least that's what i seem to remember reading..in my case giving it gas does diddly..:( jeremy..

ok..well it's been about a month now since my ex has 'selectivly ' decided to not start on me..i have done much research here, and have replaced the spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, cleaned the maf and iac, replaced both the fuel pump relay and the eec relay, and run some injector cleaner...

ok..wierdness..i tried it again, after shifting back and forth thru all the gears a few times, and now it will shift into reverse..woo hoo!..or is this only the start of something much worse?...DA DA DA DOMMM!!!!!..hmmm.. jeremy..

let's see..my truck will not go into reverse..it will shift there, but will act like it is in neutral..it a 93' auto 4x4..it has always had a hard time shifting back and forth (ala the infamous KLUNCK!), but it has never failed to shift there..could i have broken something in the actual shifting...

yeah..the dimmer light switch is set correctly (that answered my problem on one previous occasion)..another time this happened, i jiggled the rubber bushings on the rear latch, and this solved the problem..this time i have jiggled them all (all doors), to no avail..so it's pretty hard to locate...
